My favorite Scooby-Doo! Rather than being bland and formulaic like most other Scooby iterations, it's fresh and rich. Instead of just going somewhere new and unmasking a bad guy and going back to normal at the end, there is character development and overarching story elements and tension. I still go through and rewatch the series periodically and it never gets old, even when you know who the villains are

The plot was far too "convenient" for it to work. Daphne and Fred are not trained musicians but somehow manage to make it to the finals of a talent/singing competition. The rest of it was alright, but *SPOILER ALERT,* the police ending blew it for me. There's no way a police force would leave its town unprotected to save a singing contest rather than demanding it be canceled. All in all, there are much better Scooby movies, this one is very skippable.
