This movie really spoke to me, especially on what the minorities are facing on a daily basis; especially with how the media, the jury or the police may continue to manipulate or slander an entire race or nation. I love how they weren't portraying an entire race through an individual, but definitely giving different viewpoints of each aspects as can be seen by Starr's boyfriend & also her "best friend". One important detail mentioned was racism & racism need not be spoken to be racism; it does not need to be portrayed in a racial slur to be racism. The producer definitely shed a light on these issues & although, I'm far from being an African-American, I feel like people should be more woke on these issues.
