The News Hour segment with Brooks Capehart is hampered by Mr. Capehart. He talks too much and says too little. Mr. Capehart does not appear to understand the importance of historical perspective to discuss and explain today's events. Sadly it appears he's out of his depth and makes up for it by sucking up air time.
On the other hand Mr. Brooks is extremely knowledgeable on a wide variety of subjects, employs historical references in his discussions and explanations, and packages his comments in brief concise statements that convey knowledge.
