I’m a major fan of the original. I was partially inclined to watch this one at some point but lost all interest when I realized in the trailer no less one of the creative changes from both the first movie and even the comic comes in line of when her past finally catches up to her implying she knew the street thugs or the people who would murder them. While the movie gave some premeditation as to why it happened. The comic literally left it as a random tragedy. Also I just read the wiki and to my delight it’s even worse than I imagined. This movie deserves to be boo’d it does a disservice to both brandon’s legacy as an actor who translated the media perfectly and to James O’Barr the comic writer who was inspired to write this comic after dealing with his wife who was killed by a drunk driver and was inspired after reading in the paper how a young couple was murdered over a 20 dollar engagement ring… hell it even manages to do a disservice to the murdered couple. From the director and writers to the actors who defended this movie my one question is did you guys even read the source material or watch the first movie? Cause the makings of a great plot and story were laid bare at your feet. But someone said heeeeey let’s make the plot this… “To escape Roeg, a centuries-old crimelord who has made a pact with the devil to send the souls of innocents to Hell in exchange for eternal life, a young woman named Shelly takes refuge in a rehabilitation institution, where she meets and befriends Eric, a young man with a troubled childhood. When Marian, Roeg's right-hand, arrives at the institution looking for Shelly, they both escape together.” Direct from the wiki. This sounds so bad I didn’t even need to read the rest. If you were gonna make any kind of creative change from the movie and comic it would of been keep it a simple revenge plot. The crow movie got creative in that department and added top dollar and the occult dabbling part. Which again not my most favorite part of the movie but was still good enough I don’t harp it. This is just plain horrible and the fact it’s got 3 stars means people are just fans of the lead actor or aren’t familiar with either the original or the source material for inspiration.

I watched the movie for close to 45 minutes, I chuckled maybe once if even that. It was more of a wow they finally said something that was both stupid and funny. The story starts out with a civilian man working with police to catch would be criminals hiring hitmen.... Yes I am aware sometimes civilians aid law enforcement in criminal investigations however making a civilian dress up and pretend to be said hit man is just plain stupid and not even remotely how policing is done it ruins the movie especially prefacing with based on a true story. Nothing in Hollywood is based on a true story even remotely. On top of that the comedy is layered but just not layered to be funny. It's like the joke of the movie is it could have been good but they chose to just make it bad. I get everyone's comedy tastes are different. I mean there are people out there who love American Pie, god knows why. But none the less the lead actor was funnier in twisters which came out about the same time. So among the 2 corporate mandatory movies made with this guy the story about tornadoes that isn't a comedy is funnier that the story about a would be hitman that is a comedy. Also that isn't me saying twisters was good either.

I don’t think the people who gave the negative reviews really have a right too they are complaining about violence… it’s wolverine and Deadpool only way you can get even more violent is invite the punisher and many others to the party… 2nd complaint I see is the movie is goofy an detracts from the main universe. Along with a 3rd complaint of it relies on nostalgia and cameo’s. This is a slight spoiler but the purpose of this movie to clean up the muddied time lines since 1998 that is how far back this movie is reaching. Why? Cause until this movie came out the terrible marvel movies that came out before and even during iron mans time of lifting the whole franchise on its back to get a start in the right way were just that I hated how old x men ended I hated how they had treated other characters and movies. He fixes literally all of this the deadpool way…

It gets 2 stars cause shots are so beautifully filmed. It fails to earn a star in that Joaquin Phoenix just doesn't do anything with Napoleon other than dictate 3 emotions. emotionally distant, emotionally enraged, and emotionally sad. Another star is lost in that run time is 2hrs 38mins and it does nothing with it other than a slow bore museum tour of the French leaders highlights I'm almost positive that is how they wrote the script, during a tour through the napoleon collection. Rather than picking a point in Napoleons life and focusing in on it for a detailed and interesting story we are given a fictitious scene depicting napoleon present for the former French queens' beheading, half hearted scenes of his battles and triumphs. Missing context and important events that helped explain relationships between everyone at the time... I think if the movie had been titled Josephine it would of had a chance at earning back a star as it would of made a little more sense narrative wise. The 5th star is only ever given if managed achieve the 4 before it. Which this film most definitely did not do. Hope when Gladiator 2 and Alien Romulus come out this movie just reflects on a tough time in Scott's directing career.

quick summary, it's an unfinished movie within an unfinished movie. Scenes are disjointed, plot pacing runs like the titles cards used to change scene 5 minutes it's day one, next 5mins is day two and moving on and on til we hit day 30. The worst part of this film isn't that Russell Crowe's career has fallen this low, but that the last part of the movie is just so stupid and idiotic I do lay claim to the wager! I and most anyone writing these reviews probably could spit balled a better one in 5 minutes... just enough time to fit in the scene and plot pacing... Also remember guys and gals if your faith isn't strong enough to exercise a demon possessing someone... A swift two tap of the cross through the top of the head and under the throat or Murder as it's commonly called will kill any human harboring a demon... and also exercise em or something. The only positive to this film and the one star it earns comes from the concept in the film with the daughter being gay and that it isn't harped on except for by the demon in two scenes. It was creepy hearing the demon possessed Russell Crowe character tell the daughter character who is 16 mind you. That her gf can't eat her "insert explicative here" out like he could... And not good creepy in any kind of way that you could take as good. not good acting, not good writing, just garbage... At heart there was actually probably a pretty decent movie here and one that could pushed the narrative in a good direction. God loves all his children regardless of color and sexual preferences regardless of the hurtful lives they have led be it on others or on to themselves. That Redemption and healing can be had with or without faith. Anyone who ranks this above one is doing so either cause they just don't watch anything that is well written or they are so in love with demon myth's and Russell Crowe that even him delivering the pedo line of the year dare I say the century didn't phase em

I can’t reward a show that takes waaay to much liberty with the lore and does nothing with it except hack up garbage, hoping the action carries it more than 2 stars. They had so many books, games, comics, short stories, fan fictions entire Reddits filled with content on how to make a Halo movie and Tv show that’s watchable. Episode 1 I thought whoah maybe this will be the vehicle to carry us to the big screen. By the time I got to episode 2 and 3 my faith was lost. Chief isn’t Chief. He’s more like chief petty officer John 117 than master chief.

People give the movie a chance. Watch the first Halloween, follow it up with the reboot and finally the sequel. Follow along as you watch them tell a different and better story to Halloween, far better then any of the previous sequels and reboots did. These movies are a look into not just evil men, But the evils inside each of us. It further functions as a fantastic commentary on individual fear and group fear mongering. Going from a slasher fan stand point. I love that as the evening moves further into night the rage and violence escalates. For a man who’s face you never see in clear, a man who never speaks, or shows any emotion… You can tell when he has lost his temper or is not amused by the situation.

With out getting into to much detail. The series is fantastic! It’s like Teen Titans go, but for adults. That’s the big kicker! This show is a cartoon for adults paying tribute to the series and characters we grew up with! They make a lot of the valid points or jokes we have already made ourselves over the years! Joker and his electric car joke to Bruce in the promo made me laugh just as hard as the episode itself did!
