The Voice has become increasingly more about The Judges and less about The Singers. More about celebrity feuds, shouting contests and walk-outs A lot of it seems manufactured at worst or manipulated into spin for PR purposes. And at its heart while The Voice is "reality" TV and has always been contrived to a degree the discovery principle is what keeps an audience tuning into watch. Not just the unearthing of new talent but that new talent's journey of self-discovery witnessed and "voted" on by a mass audience. Yes, the Judges have a necessary part to play BUT THEY ARE NOT THE PLAY.
