They say a Movie is never as good as the book. In this case it is a close call. I read the book and then the entire series because of this Movie. The Vampire Chronicles (comprising of 13 books) by Anne Rice was brilliantly written and each movie created based off her books was just as good as the book if not better. It also did not hurt that super stars like Brad Pit, Tom Cruise, Christian Slater, Kristen Dunst and even Antonio Banderas where part of the cast. Classic vampire movie!
