long drawn out sentences with lots of big words that didn't tie into the story at all. the plot was so weird and all over the place. ended on a very confusing note, not direct, quite boring tbh. bought it cause it was a Sunday times best seller but after reading it wondered why it was on the list. really just liked the diversity of the book but wouldn't have regretted anything if I didn't read. largely underwhelming
