I thought it was very authentic. Glenn Close gives an Oscar performance. A great cast. I was surprised to see the critics didn't like it. I think they don't understand what Appalachian poverty is really like. This film really captures the gritty family dysfunction that people grow up with and yet still pursue their dream. I know this area and these people.
