From a base point I am not a fan of RG. However I actually found the series quite moving. Yes it was a little self absorbed but for one the writer was also playing the main character so what else would you expect plus the writer is unashamedly arrogant and pretentious so again to be expected. The cringing parts plus crass language designed to shock are also most despised "Gervais" traits. But again not unexpected. What was unexpected was that I found it eerily sensitive and moving. So I will watch for more works. And perhaps no longer spit at the mention of GERVAIS. Thank you for the series, however I do feel a little discombobulated.
