I savored every moment of this film. Every performance was superb, and I highly recommend this film. Outstanding!

I don't want to give the impression that I am not enjoying this series because I am, but I can't put my finger on it. I'm not sure if it's the dialogue, script, and acting, but it seems stiff. Were people this formal and one-dimensional in the privacy of their own homes? Perhaps it is unfair to compare this with Downton Abbey, and maybe an Americanized version of that period loses a bit of luster. Still, the characters aren't nuanced, and I am having difficulty caring about or rooting for any of them. The plotlines seem formulaic, and there are no surprises. I will say that I am enjoying it more as the season progresses, and it's worth watching, but if you are expecting it to be anything like Downton Abbey, you will be disappointed.

It's the best show since Breaking Bad. The storyline is engaging and very well written. The acting and casting are fantastic and I find myself really caring about the characters. The production values and cinematography are off the chart. I wish there were more than 8 episodes per season.

Sorry, but it misses the mark. The storylines were written to be inclusive for the inclusion's sake and lacked the clever repertoire of the original series. The new characters could have been interesting, but I just didn't care about them. See the previous comment about inclusion. It had a few witty moments, but they were few and far between. I felt like I was forcing myself to watch a trainwreck, hoping it would improve, but it didn't. I just couldn't connect, and if it somehow gets renewed, it's a no-go for me.

I love this movie, and it has been one of my favorite films. I had the opportunity to watch it again after more than two decades and it still holds up. The performances are compelling and believable with beautiful cinematography and a moving score. The screenplay is superbly written. with intelligent dialogue and even though it is three hours long, the time flew by. I found myself wishing it were longer.

A must watch movie. I remembered this time and had an uncle who died from a blood transfusion. So much it seems relevant to the current pandemic with all of its political and the bureaucratic red tape that leads to so many unnecessary death and permanent disability.
