I enjoyed the movie - fully. It might be a man's narcissistic world, but women have always been more resourceful. I know of too many men who fall under the character of Melissa's husband, weak and useless. I had no problem with her letting him get put out of "her" misery. I think all three women did an excellent job portraying their characters. I found the film very entertaining, a nice study of the era and the plight of women as second citizens, it transends to this very day. The majority of viewers today are looking for entertainment - we're all movie critics in our own way. Every mind is a world of its own.
