This movie could have been really good had the screenwriters just reviewed and fixed the storyline.
The most disappointing was the role of the lead female Police officer. She is supposedly intelligent enough to move through the ranks but is cast as a brainless character who can't think or analyse and is irrational and stupid. Closed minded, tunnel visioned and helplessly relying on the male characters to lead. Screenwriters, please note its 2020 - at least make the female leads as intelligent as their male counterparts - trust me, it will make the movie so much more engaging!
Second, a highly respected and intelligent Doctor could well be a really organised highly functioning serial killer but the reason that is given( seeking vengeance from Ritika) is really lame. It doesn't flow nor make logical sense. That whole character was not written with enough depth to make it believable.
Third, the medico-legal guy becomes the lead detective - ah no...his the forensic guy - it would have been more appropriate given this movies choices to make him the intelligent detective and make Ritika, the forensic scientist who contributes in a real way to the storyline.
Choose what you'd like to do - if you are going to make the lead detective a female but give her role to a male, change it, you should have made the male the lead detective and given her a good supporting role. An intelligent supporting role is way better than a brainless lead. Don't underestimate the intelligence of your audience.
And lastly, if that child had been so traumatised, she would not happily settle into normal family life - that child would be scarred not happily youtubing videos... and how pathetic, after all this, the estranged couple happily reunite like nothing ever happened - ah Mollywood - you can do so much better *sigh*.
Society is changing and if you start reflecting that, you can reach for the stars.
