Acting was not great. But the multi-layer story was brilliant! It's about a book (the words), an autobiography of a well known author who struggled in the past to reach success in his career. Though he is still unhappy (according to his book) because his success or fame came out because of a novel written by someone else that accidentally he found the manuscript and claimed to be his. That plagiarized story was his wide gate to success. At the end it's an open ending: whether that book (the words) was just the author's imagination, or it was really his own past?

That movie is for kids basically and characters are dull cartoon characters. The acting was poor except for Waltz. The actress who played Alita performance was extremely weak, weird, dump and awkward. She was copying Jennifer Lawrence in a weak form. She appeared in many shots as a low grade of animated little Jennifer Lawrence. Her animated face was a great flaw from my point of view. It appeared like a lifeless and dull video game animated character. That romance that entroduced to the picture was unnecessary yet so much of getting you out of the mood. Film makers are popular but that doesn't mean that the outcome to be put to perfection. If you enjoy cartoons and super hero unrealistic flicks go for it. Otherwise, don't waste your time. I give that movie 5/10 as overall. Action:6/10. Visual effects: 8/10. Adapted screen play 4/10. Editing 5/10 where acting performance drops to 2/10.
