I usually avoid Oscar nominated films or winners as they tend to be over hyped and overrated but I took a chance on Call Me By Your Name and I can honestly say it is one of the most beautiful films I think I have ever seen. The book by Andre Aciman is just as stunning and the film adaption is incredible. The acting is sublime, Timothee Chalamet is one of the best young actors of his generation, the story is heart warming and yet heartbreaking, the scenery is stunning. The script was so well adapted and the way the film is shot is out of this world. Luca Guadagnino is an exceptional director. And lets not forget the soundtrack. The music fits the feel of the film exceptionally well, it is emotional and atmospheric. It gives the film a nostalgic feel. I don't have a bad word to say about this film, it is a rare gem and I am so glad I took a chance on it. Cannot recommend enough.
