Karl, it wasnt a great look this am. Poor form. I dare say today you will be at home later with a nice meal, hot shower and clean bed and loved ones around you and dont forget your mobile coverage. It's very easy to grandstand as you did this am. Take a look at National Parks and State forests. National Parks shut a lot of access tracks for fire fighters. NSW appears not to have learnt any lessons from the catastrophic fires in VIC. It is unfortunate that many people have been trapped with limited access out of the fire zones. However, holiday makers did not predict what would happen, so how could the government do so too. Many of holiday makers paid for their holiday so they went anyway. All the education over the last few months about being fire ready has amounted to zilch.Victims need support financially most of all. What they don't need is media making their own headlines as you did. Most Australian's like to get on with the job. Do some good and get yourself out to the back blocks of the communities and talk to the quiet achievers and leave the cameraman home.
