Being a great fan of Ronan I was always going to watch this. The film itself is just beautifully made and acted and never becomes coy or over-sentimental (as it might do) - even the least sympathetic sister - Pugh's Amy - comes over sympathetically. I really enjoyed Gerwig's Ladybird and this film tops that. The whole cast just gells and you really believe the March girls are sisters. As a complete contrast I saw the latest Star Wars instalment on the same day - that film was disappointing (on all sorts of levels) - this film definitely wasn't.
