I don't watch tv shows. If I did, it's usually something about wars, spies, revenge or comedy. I never watched Korean dramas. Thought they were cheesy and cliche. Also, I never write reviews about dramas. I guess I've changed. Recently, I watched Mr. Sunshine. It's probably the best drama I've seen. It's okay to not be okay is a very close 2nd.
This drama makes you think...a lot. It really challenges your understanding of what it means to be happy, what it means to help someone and what it means to really love someone. Are we, in the spirit of wanting to help, actually hurting someone? Am I, in the pursuit of happiness, actually nurturing bitterness and anger deep inside my heart?
There were scenes towards the later episodes that gave me chills. There were scenes that made me laugh out loud. There were scenes that made me emotional.
It'll be worth your time. I promise you. Definitely a "must watch".
