I raved about Season 1, but Season 2 went off the rails in Episode 1. It's almost as though there was a lengthy, uexplained time jump, glossed-over storylines that seemed important in S1, and the rushed introduction of interchangeable humanoid aliens with no distinct personalities (except for 1 whose own "brother" killed him) or motives. The elevation of Emily and the weird French boy as the main characters was foreseeable, as is I suppose the ultimate resolution. I will continue to watch, as a Gabriel Byrne admirer, but with much-lessened interest in the series.
