As a long-time fan of Georgette Heyer regency romances, Bridgerton was a pure delight, doing for them what Anne with an E did for the Anne of Green Gables films my daughter grew up on. I love that Black people and other People of Color are present at all levels of this alternate regency world, and that the seamy workings of the marriage market are more full revealed. Excellent acting, a richly complex cast of characters and a deeply satisfying Christmas binge.
