Maybe it’s because I’ve grown up in the church and have seen these sort of allegorical cautionary tales with one-dimensional characters quite often in Christian films, but the story and its characters felt so contrived it was hard to relate to any of them. I liked Veep, but this just felt like I was being spoon-fed as to how I was supposed to feel about the situation and characters.
