This book is about a 14-year-old Indian boy struggling with his developing identity and worldview while living on and off the reservation. There are sexual references in the book, but it is realistic and nothing worse than what a kid can google on their phone. Most of these negative reviews are from people who had to read it for school and didn't understand it. The narrator is not a 45-year-old author; he is a 14-year-old kid, and the sexual references are funny and realistic to someone of that age. He is not glorifying sex or sexualizing children; he is telling a true story from the perspective of a kid at that age. I don't know why people argue about this topic since it is less than 5% of the book. The book is worth reading at the very least. I immensely enjoyed its realistic perspective.
