What an absolute disappointment and waste of animator talent. The writing is some of the laziest and most formulaic I’ve ever seen. I don’t think there was a single scene in the movie the audience couldn’t predict. The love story was embarrassingly clichè and lacked any substance. I found myself BEGGING for them to kill off the love interest just so we could move on with the actual ACTION part of what was supposed to be an ACTION MOVIE. There were maybe 4 fight scenes in the whole movie, and they were painfully short. They were, however, beautifully animated and exciting to watch. But all of that time outside of the fight scenes was wasted on horrificly cheap dialogue, a half baked origin story, and a completely predictable “bad boy-good girl” romance. I wish I had those 2 1/2 hours of my life back.
