It's very underrated. I've rewatched the anime recently. The vibes are not exactly the same and each (the live-action vs the anime) has something unique and different from the other to offer. I'm actually really enjoying the series. It has great visuals, really good writing, great cinematography and much more. It's not an imitation of the anime. I can tell that it was built with love and care. And that the people behind it gave it their best and it shows.
