Loved it! A good combination of drama and comedy, plus suspense as I wondered what would happen next. Made me think about getting old and spending my time wisely. June Squibb is a gem!

I love documentaries but I did not get into this one that much. I did not know who he or his wife were beforehand, and I don't believe I've ever heard his music (besides watching Colbert on occasion), so maybe that was partly why. It wasn't a behind the scenes look at Jon Batiste because I never saw the scene in the first place. Felt like I was left trying to read between the lines- like why does he keep saying in that one scene that all black men crack- what was he talking about? To steal something from a review, it didn't show me why he is one of the greats (or should I already know that? I asked three others and they also did not know who he was). I had to pause in the middle to google him and learn more about him and his music. But it was still a little entertaining to learn more about him and I got excited for him winning big at the Grammys.

Super funny, smart, and well done. Laughed out loud a lot. Loved the friendship between the girls and the fact that they didn't compromise their principles too much on their night out. Also appreciated the character of Amy- can't recall seeing anyone like her on the big screen.

I love how it shows all facets of a 17-year-old's life- schoolwork, dating, the school musical, friendships, working, family stuff, prom- just everything. She toes the line between kid and adult. The perfect dramedy.

Fascinating look at what it's like to be an evangelical kid in America. It profiles a few different kids (and some of their families) who are very fervent in their faith; one minute they're playing and the next they're crying during a religious event. For someone who was raised Catholic, this presented another type of Christianity I wasn't familiar with, plus I never was sent to church camp. Overall, I found it really interesting, and the soundtrack was great. Heidi and Rachel got great access! If you like docs like Spellbound, Hollywood Complex, or Racing Dreams, you'll like this one.

I wasn't so sure about this doc, but it definitely got interesting and I enjoyed the story very much. At first, I was thinking, why is she being so nice to this loser who stole her paintings? But you get to meet Bertil for the human he is and the struggles he has, and the same with Barbora. I also enjoyed an inside look at a Norwegian prison. While I wanted some more details about what was going on and how much time had passed, I think in the end it worked alright and I'm glad the filmmaker captured this story.

I've always known about the one child policy, but not the details or the ramifications. It was haunting to hear some of the stories told in this film. They interviewed a lot of different people and I got some questions answered (like what happened if you did have two kids?) but still have more. Definitely worth watching!

Very entertaining. Lots of fun characters, especially Sue played by Allison and Regina Hall's character. Loved watching everything unfold in the end!

I really enjoyed this movie, getting a slice into Japanese life as an American was interesting. I loved how you slowly figure out exactly who this family is, having little "aha" moments as you piece the puzzle together. I found some parts sad but not "holding back tears" sad. Very little comedic moments, but there were a few chuckles. The kids were also very cute!

Saw this in theaters, was disappointed. Started off interesting but then it felt messy and ridiculous at times. WAY too much fighting. It felt like the ending lasted an hour and I wasn't really feeling for any of the characters. I did laugh a little, though. I guess I could see how others could like it, but it was not the movie for me.
