I love Tom Hanks and his acting was great, as always, but I was bored and disappointed by this movie. There were literally no other human characters in the movie AT ALL. The movie struggled to go anywhere, not much drama or excitement, depressing theme (end of the world and all…). It seemed like yet another ill conceived COVID-19 project to solve the problem of actors having to work together. I was hoping for an uplifting ending at least, but no. Also, Whoever was voicing the robot Jeff suddenly changed their dialect halfway through the movie or perhaps a whole new voice actor was chosen, either way it was disconcerting. For the first half of the movie, Jeff had kind of a Russian dialect going on, then suddenly his voice was higher, softer and almost had a southern twang. Just weird.
