Just watched Bhaarat and I can relate so much to the story of Bhaarat .
My maternal Grand mother told me so many stories about their journey from Pakistan to India . It was a journey where they saw everything from mass killings to poverty and to the loss of family members . They spent around 15 days in a train and around 1.5 crore Hindus left Pakistan that time .
The dividing line made families apart . It was a very difficult time . My maternal grand father (Nana ji ) lost his brother during the 1947 separation at Pakistan, the way Bharat lost his Little sister Gudiya . My mother told me that till the time My great Grand mother was alive , she used to shed tears every time on the loss of her kid during the separation . But as they say life goes on . Things moved on ..
Yeah , the way the director have depicted the sorrowful journey of that partition era . It's incredible . I am sure this film must have touched the hearts of those families who have lost their family members during the partition . Salman as Bhaarat was great and the movie touched me .
