The editor for this book must have given up before I did (at about 50%), because there was a sharp uptick in grammatical my mistakes. Award to the most obvious and what made me quit goes to this nugget on page 147: "So did you hear about how Damini /AND ME/ got chased by a hair-eating monster?" Actual quote from the book, mistake and all. Unbelievable. A child could have corrected this mistake.
Spend your time reading literally any other book.
