Honestly, I don't usually do reviews. This game merits one though. I was prepared for a grind-heavy game from the start. The story is alright, but really this game is all about the "end game". That being said, it is, without a doubt, impossible to go past a GR 100-110 without cheating. On consoles at least, the GR level caps at 150. The only people I have seen successfully clearing said Rifts have modded gear. Again, I did expect a game with tons of grinding, but the sudden halt to any and all progress makes this an absolute waste of time. Obtaining "Primal Ancients" with good stat rolls for my build (not modded) did not help. Nor did the in game augmentation system. The amount of stat increases maxed augmentation and primals at your current level of GR will not push you ahead to the next levels. Essentially, the difficulty scales exponentially while your character scales linearly. There is no way to actually "progress" after a certain point. Sure, you can try and find a party, but without any ability to communicate via the Switch version (yes, I am aware you can communicate on the PC version) it makes multiplayer a headache. Then, you will more than likely just end up in a party with people that have hacked or modded gear. In all, it is a fun game. Just do not expect to keep progressing, especially on your own, using the gear and boosts that are part of the game. It is as if Blizzard almost is promoting people to utilize cheats in this one. And.... not to mention the absurdly low drop rate (in any format) for the Primals. If the gear is THAT rare (1/400) chance to drop (no guarantee on stats or type of gear) make it worth the hassle. If you are a completionist, do not play this game. If you like progressing, do not play this game. If you like pointlessly rage killing sh... repetitively. Over and over... and over... again. For what might, if you're lucky, possibly provide you with gear that, even if it is good, won't allow you to move forward in the game. Then play away. Honestly, this is a huge time sink and players should not bother pushing forward. Play the game to have fun and move on. It really is kinda pointless and I personally regret dumping as much time as I have to end up hitting an insurmountable point.
