Lee Dovey – Google

Some people are giving this low reviews because favourite characters went missing. Stay with it because the people who replace them are all superb actors who go on to earn a place in your heart. Other people are criticising the scripts. It's a series about people with powers so it needs a bit of work on your behalf to suspend the disbelief and just enjoy the story, but if you can do that you will be rewarded. Misfits is like nothing else I have ever seen and it's worth sticking with right up to the last episode. This is rammed full of brilliant intense acting combined with the most absurd and comical storylines you'll ever come across. It's totally unique, it's a rare gem.

I've just about finished this book and I'm 99% sure what the "Twist" ending is going to be because you can see it coming from quite a way off, and that's saying something because a lot of the prose in this novel is disconnected and clunky and not natural to follow. I find myself rereading sentences to get them to sit straight in my mind and that means that there's quite a lot of "author intrusion" accidentally happening here. I really wanted to like this book but it's hard work because it just doesn't flow smoothly at all. I won't be reading another of his novels.
