For once the critics are right. This is pretty bad. Started out promisingly and soon degenerated. I hate movies (SPOILERS) that hurt animals. Not necessary. Lazy screenwriting. There are some genuinely scary moments, but it all falls apart at the end. Katie Holmes does the best with what she's given. The child actor is not much of a performer. Brahms? Well, maybe they can make a Brahms III, the Shuffleboard Years, where he wreaks havoc on unsuspecting Floridians wearing a nice Bermuda shirt. This is a very SHORT movie, btw. Wait for Redbox.
