I was hoping for a powerful movie about mothers and daughters and their often complex relationships. With a powerful cast, this looked like a good choice. Unfortunately, this wasn’t it at all. First, it became obvious very quickly that Apple funded a good portion of this movie- either that or the director just happened to place an apple product in every scene for the first half, including close ups. Then bring in the weak script, very unlikable characters, make them all live pretty comfortable, privileged lives, and it just comes off like a bad soap opera with product placement. The reason I kept watching was Selma Blair’s character and performance. Plenty of good talent in this movie- all wasted. Oh, except for the males- I wasn’t impressed by the majority of them. The OB was pretty decent, but what an unbelievable storyline there. All of it was unbelievable... so, don’t waste your time.
