I've only seen two episodes, but I am enjoying this. I am a huge fan of the Len Deighton books and also of the Michael Caine film trilogy. I think that this version is sufficiently different to have been worth making. It has a different "edge" to the Caine film; less sarcastic perhaps, but still about class and inequality.

Exciting, fresh, new, absorbing, well acted, great characters, great plot and sub plots. I could go on. It breaks away from the 1956 David Niven film (which was also excellent) and interpretes the book in its own way. I am enjoying it so much and can recommend it to others. This a Christmas and New year treat.
