Given the marketing and character design, I was expecting an experience with some weight to it.
What I got was a game that feels like a re-skinned Fable title from 2 console generations ago.
Clunky movement, an unnecessary amount of narration and obnoxious unskippable mini cut scenes showing you to go thru the only door in a room, and feeling completely dropped into an open world with less life than anything open world I can recently recall.
Highlight moment: I opted to leave a character 'to their fate' after the 4th of 8 unskippable cutscenes, fully expecting to leave the conversation and carry on my way. Instead, we enter ANOTHER cutscene where my character knocks him unconscious?
I am actually floored that this is a title coming out in 2021 and not 2011.
