It depends on individual to find this film to suit. I didn't expect too much out of Gretel & Hansel due to mix reviews but strangely, I didn't dosed off like I did compared to so many bigger movies, particularly Transformers. And the acting is quite superb given to it's own class and category. Please don't expect Oscar's performance, this one has it's own distinctive class though I don't know how to put it. Maybe mesmerizing as how other puts it.
