Despite some reviews commenting on Dirk Gently being "a gay doctor who" I rather enjoy his take on the character. His sweet and funny behavior makes him all that more loveable. Overall, the show although at times hard to follow comes together at the end, making it worth the watch. If you're into comedy, sci-fi, fantasy, and mystery this is the show for you! It's somewhat similar to Doctor Who, but watered down. Which isn't a bad thing as the show does not solely focus on romance, despite having hints of it. I'm quite disappointed with whoever was in charge of marketing, as I have never heard of this show before.

Fantastic action film. (spoilers). Going into theaters I wasn't sure if it would be a good movie. Same old cliche where it turns out the cops are corrupt, but never would I guess how action packed and nail biting it was. It had me on the literal end of my seat and almost in tears as the criminals died. I knew not to feel bad for them because they were criminals! But, seeing the injustice and corruption surrounding them made me angry and sadly root for the bad guys. That's why I loved Chadwick's character as he would rather stand for justice and do what's right then sell out. Although it was a bit cliche I enjoyed the twists and heart racing running scenes. Chadwick Bosemon did an phenomenal job as the NYC detective as he had it down to the ticks in his face.Would recommend for anyone who likes to watch action films with a touch of justice.

I cannot stress this enough. BEST MOVIE EVER! Not only does it have an all female lead cast, but it's incredibly diverse with cast and crew. Some may disagree as it tries too hard to be "woke" but honestly this film had me in tears. Not only was it incredibly hilarious but the actresses did an equally incredible job. Scratch that, everyone who worked on this project really gave it their all. The plot showed growth and strength with the characters as they weren't bland and had their own growth. As a fan of the comics at first I was put off because HELLO! Barbara Gordon and Dinah Lance created Birds of Prey. I quickly got over that once Margot Robbie graced us with her presence. Some may argue Harley acts like Captain Jack Sparrow and Dead pool. However, this is her own movie as it not only focuses on Harley but the Birds of Prey. As an Asian female it felt good to see so much diversity. For all the misogynists, no, unlike Charlie's Angels the characters had their own plots and overcome their problems. The movie was supposed to show that even though the women were trapped within men's control, they were able to break free as they can protect themselves. It's not a bash on men but on the patriarchy and how our society is built on men whether we realize it or not. They were objectified and controlled like birds in a cage. Even women (Harley's roller derby friends) were bashing on each other. Again, it's not a bash on men, at least from how i interpreted it. Maybe that's why some were so uncomfortable with it. And I agree with Cathy Yan saying that we're not ready for it. Because we're not, no matter how many people claim that there are plenty of strong independent women films. Those are the past and we want to think of the present and future as it has drastically changed despite the times. I think that's why I thought it was an incredible movie. Great casting, directing, writing, and crew. Everyone killed it and totally lived for Harley and Cassandra's friendship. Really looking forward for another movie!

Honestly...Remarkable! I binge watched the whole show and it really got me in the feels once I realized it was only 8 episodes. Despite the reviews and articles about the show I thought it did great. I'm not black but I did relate to a lot of things in the show as a poc. Such as the rawness and moments where you really wanted to slap Kenya. However, I believe that's why it such a good tv show. Unlike Dear White People, where it's more of an attack and acts of aggression (despite a lot of good points it holds). This shows brings it up gracefully and kind of makes us think about society and how we're all too worried of being "woke" or sensitive. Especially that scene where Kenya disagrees with the black film, and the fact that people only appreciate it because it is a black film. It raises good questions of community and whether we should stand for it because it allows a platform. When Kenya sits and is genuine about wanting someone to tell him if they really like his work or only appreciating it because he's black. The show is absolutely amazing, and I low how it shows the highs and lows. The honest real fights people go through (without the money). Would recommend as it's also hilarious.
