Anyone who gave this movie more than 1 star is lying and just being yes men. They took a movie that was original and turned it into their run of the mill of Hollywood trash the spew out these days. When are you Hollywood executives and producers going to get through your idiotic coked up heads that we don’t like your trash. Only reason we watch it is because we are hoping it won’t be that, or it’s the only thing we have to watch. Quit spoon force feeding us trash. I was all for this sequel, waited at least 32 years for it. Ever since I saw the first. And I was willing to accept some new things added. Not only did I not feel like Beetlejuice was Beetlejuice, but the whole movie was a mess. If you recall the original, no music in it. There was a score and the background of Harry Belafonte but that was it. They just had to add their trash music girl power crap to this one though, takes you out of the whole vibe. Then they just had to have their rich little boy with his damn dumb broccoli or Jew fro haircut that every other teenage boy has. Just had to put their little MTV/WB teenage love story in their movie. Because who knows the wants and likes of the masses better than the suits in Hollywood right? Wake up call, you don’t know what we want. Only thing decent about this movie was Winona Ryder. Her portrayal of her character back in the 80’s was spot on. Every single thing else was a mess. Down to the littlest details. One big mistake was the forced storyline of Charles Deetz. We obviously couldn’t have the character of Charles due to not being able to have the actor who played him, there to do it. So the obvious thing would’ve been to just kill him off or back line him in where he’s alive but because of various reasons you don’t see him. But instead they make him a major plot point in the movie and force the things that come along with that. Such as a cartoon to tell the story of his death and a body with no face yet everyone else in the afterlife has their heads, even if they’ve been decapitated. But for some reason he doesn’t? And somehow he can still talk?! Like wtf?! And the thing with Winona’s boyfriend. He should’ve been a character that was trying to get with the widow. He made no sense in Winona’s characters’life. Just nothing fit. And I love Michael Keaton but he is either too old to play beetlejuice or his heart wasn’t in it because it just wasn’t landing. So thanks again Hollywood for being wrong for the 9000th time in movie sequels/prequels and remakes. Thanks for ruining things we love just so you can have a nicer car or a larger house etc. I hope all of you that do stuff like this end up old, lying in your $75,000 bed shitting your pants, and having to lay there and realize your life was crap and heartless. But hey, you got a nice house though.

This movie is so unsettling and terrifying. The score and sounds in this movie are fantasy and completely original sounding. I actually didn’t even get to finish the movie because there is a part in this movie where this demon or whatever it is looks and does something that I had a nightmare about. Years and years ago before this movie was even thought of. That was enough to say “nope, no way, turning this off”. But for horror fans, I strongly suggest you watch this movie. My impression from the trailer and ad campaign for this movie was not good. They pulled it off so well. Well done.

The only reason I finished this movie is to see how it ended. I fast forwarded here and there because it was so horribly bad. Whoever funded this movie thinking it was a good script is an idiot. The director is even worse. The writing, everything was horrible. This isn’t a movie about a Civil War it’s a movie about a punk little annoying girl who basically gets everyone around her killed. The fact the tried promoting this movie as anything other than that, actually pissed me off. It was a such a good concept, America in a civil war. But whoever made this had to try and make it some artsy movie and their pretentious self failed at it horribly. The movie was bad in little ways also, not in the big picture of things. Such as the audio. You go from quiet to ridiculously loud drawn out noise of whatever is in the scene making the ruckus. The actors except the Asian guys and the teenage girls were pretty good. I can’t think of another movie that actually made me mad that I watched it. Please, if anyone in Hollywood or in the industry of making movies, don’t let this set of idiots involved in this movie, ever do another movie again. I don’t see how one single person could like this movie. Oh and even the pyrotechnics were horrible apparently a rocket hit shot from a helicopter looks like a transformer blowing. Oooooo that’s some hardcore effects there. Good lord this movie sucks

The only reason this series was good was because of Daryl (Norman Reedus). Everything except for him in this series was horrible. Annoying and boring characters played by horrible actors. Was trying way too hard. Putting Daryl in France was a horrible idea. Whoever’s behind that idea, fire them. And don’t even get me started on the premise of the whole thing. A kid that they believe is a “chosen one”. Us fans waited a very long time to get these spinoffs and they are giving us trash. Quit listening to the big wigs and listen to what the fans liked. Go off of that. AND this was hardly a Walking Dead spinoff when it only has one of the characters and leaves a huge gap in time and story. It’s just another show with a character from the old show. You can’t recreate The Walking Dead so quit trying to do the same thing in every show i.e. characters walk around and find a bad faction of people with a menacing leader with killing zombies in between. Like try focusing on the zombies for awhile and leave trying to bring a bad villain out for awhile. Something different. Use the same people that wrote for the originals instead of these new idiots you’re using.

I cant stand to watch SNL anymore, the whole Trump jokes and paradoys etc are so old and lame, whatnot make fun of all the idiots on the left, there is so much material to work with. The line up they have they sucks and so do the writers they have right now. I can't find one comedian on SNL that's even the slightest bit funny. It's like the just gave up. But I have to say last night Eddie Murphy being the host was outstanding he's still got it and was so good that he made the rest of the cast look semi good. Thank you Eddie Murphy for making SNL good for one night this year.

The only reason this movie gets 2 stars is for the great cast they had. How they managed to get these actors to do this movie is beyond me. A grizzly bear that goes around like Jason Vorhees in the woods? Its so ridiculous and doesnt even attempt to try and help you believe otherwise. I think somebody had some powerful Hollywood execs pulling some favors and strings for this cast to yes to this. Its high budget is the only thing that keeps it from being a straight up B horror film. Id say if you are bored give it a shot but dont expect to see some realistic bear stuff and a good outdoors movie because this is not it

Could have been a great movie. The things you want from this movie, never deliver. I'd say go onto it with low expectations. We wanted J.J. Abrams to redeem himself and what the last film destroyed but it just didn't happen. Has some moments for the fans but that's it. Abrams just lacks the ability to capture emotion, he's good with action but there was no emotion. And for a movie that should have a lot in it, it sure brought it down. I wouldn't watch it but maybe one more time. Also stuff that was in the movie was unnecessary, like to girls kissing when nobody else M is but they just had to put that in there. And of course the girl power in the movie is true to what Disney just always has to do because they want to be politically correct instead of doing what is right for the movie.
