There seem a lot of reviews that come from being disappointed it wasn't a 'traditional' Robin Hood. I think the director beautifully captured the entire point of Robin Hood as portrayed by commoners in that the corruption of church and state needs to be called to account. The corruption, evil, hatred, and personal agendas of those who seek power for self gain are all too prevalent today - the message of the movie; it asks us to ponder if things really have changed and whether we can all step up - "if not you then who, if not now, then when?" I really enjoyed the movie and it seems many did too, despite those who did not slamming it.
