Don't watch this if you enjoyed the books. It needlessly rewrites the plot so would be more accurately called "inspired by Mortal Engines". The casting of the leads is also poor - not the actors faults, they are fine, they just don't match the character descriptions from the books at all, in fundamental ways. All in all, a missed opportunity and v disappointing.
