Another great show and concept ruined by garbage liberal woke ideologies. Decent in the beginning, but when Inspector Hillinghead somehow turns gay for literally a plot point is when I started to get suspect of the motives for the show. Then the "professor" who can't explain how he is in the same room as himself (literally impossible according to actual scientists regarding time travel) yet he can explain how free will "doesn't exist" because you like the same things as your parents did? LOL. I actually scoffed when I heard this idiotic statement. Hollywood, liberal media, social media, they want so badly to make people believe there is no such thing as free will and somehow that morality is subjective and is only an opinion. Morality is absolute, that's a fact. Great concept, great show but hidden in it as usual is liberal ideologies that are so insane and quite frankly asinine it's hilarious. STOP pushing your garbage ideas that are incredibly dangerous onto people through big budget films and shows. Its disgusting. When Christians do it, they're outraged and call it propaganda, but when they do it they call it "the truth" despite it being nothing but opinionated garbage. Get a grip netflix, we are tired of your opinions being shoved down our throats. 1 star because you ruined an amazing show with woke, gay garbage. Also can't forget how they labeled right wingers "racists and terrorists" in the first episode...as usual per big media. Don't even get me started on how terrible the entire detective portion of the show was directed. Entire plot points just missing, detectives skipping over crucial evidence, detectives not asking even basic needed questions for police work, characters in the show ignoring blatantly dangerous situations and ignoring massive clues, I mean wow, Netflix really has no idea how to produce any kind of detective show do they?

Gritty, violent yet heartfelt - Lawless is one of the best movies i've ever seen. The directors captured the time period absolutely perfect. Thrilling and intense, Lawless leaves you with a sense of brotherhood as it follows the Bondurant men. Tom Hardy as Forrest stands out as one of the strongest and bad mfers you will ever meet. Truly a masterpiece and it was based on a true story. This movie won't let you down.

Ben Mendelsohn is amazing as always. They need to cast him as an investigator more often, he does a superb job. The detective/police work in this movie was top notch. However, the writing just wasn't. The scenes leading up to the ending were just bland, cliche and unrealistic. The mall scenes were also not very realistic, this guy would've had to been Special Ops 100x over to get out of a situation so clean like that. Not realistic at all. Taking down SWAT and multiple highly trained officers and getting away clean is pretty ridiculous. The rest however, was very very good. The backstory of the antagonist was well-developed as was the picture of his mental state. Shailene Woodley did a very good job despite some cliche writing towards the ending, which isn't exactly her fault. Overall, good movie, at no point was I disinterested and it kept me intrigued. However, the writing falls short and it needed a different interim climax instead of the mall scenes, it just wasn't realistic enough. 4/5 because Ben Mendelsohn is a top notch actor and the beginning plot was solid. They dropped the ball towards the end and could've done a better job.

How this didn't get good reviews is beyond me. The acting is absolutely superb and the casting was done extremely well. I truly did not expect it to so done so well. It felt more like a detective movie than the previous Batman movies were. The Riddler was played so well...that actor did AMAZING. Robert Pattinson was great as Batman. Ignore the naysayers and the bad reviews, this was a top notch movie. It's gritty, violent, dark and showcases true corruption. I watched "The Dark Knight" right after (probably for the 10th time) and I can't fathom how "The Batman" got worse reviews. Some people just don't have the attention span and intelligence for quality films. When compared to other Batman movies this one is by far the best. Batman is portrayed exactly how one would actually expect - more of a vigilante, on the edge and depressed rather than how he has been played in other films. You can't expect a man who hunts criminals in the dark and beats them with his bare hands to be entirely sane. Yet, he is still portrayed as a hero, despite the darkness that surrounds him. This is truly one of the best movies i've ever seen, I've watched it twice now and it doesn't get old. I personally cannot wait for Part 2. If you can't sit for 2.5 hours to watch something, then you don't deserve to leave this movie a bad review. This is truly peak Batman and I can't imagine it getting any better. And this is coming from a HUGE Christian Bale fan. Robert Pattinson is a badass as Batman and "The Batman" is really the best one thus far.
