Surprisingly good film. Much better than I expected it to be. What's notable about this film is that it shows a very human side to Dahmer. He was a sick, sadistic serial killer of course, but this film also shows that deep inside he was a very lonely, sad, messed up guy. This film almost makes you pity him. Almost.
The film isn't focused on the murders. Of course, it does show a few of his murders, but the film seems to focus more on his life, his relationships with family and others, his past, etc.
It's a film about Dahmer, the man. Not just Dahmer, the serial killer. Since it's an hour and a half film, a lot was left out of course. They skipped over his time in the military, for example.
