If you haven't read the book, you will probably enjoy the film, if you have read the book, it will not resemble the story as you already know. Majority of the characters in the film are not in the book or even in the Ryan/Clark series of books. Hollywood takes an already excellent book takes the basic plot and rewrites it and puts out the tagline "Based on the book by........." 9/10 times it doesn't resemble the book at all. Seeing the trailers so far - Tom Clancy fans if the Ryanverse are no doubt sorely disappointed. This film is apparently supposed to set up Rainbow Six which skips 30 years of stories. The book Without Remorse is set around 1970 during the Vietnam War, Rainbow Six is set from 1999 to 2000 during the Australian Olympic Games what happened to the years in-between?
