Very disappointing ending. After watching for over 2 hours, you’re left, blah! The main male actor and female suitor finally obtains the “cola” she loved as a child that was no longer commercially available. He finally locates a very old man that makes it for his wife because she loved it. He makes a bottle of the cola for the lead male actor BUT he never gives it to lead female character during the climactic final scene! There is a hint in the final last sentence when the lead male actor mentions pit of the blue,I’m paraphrasing, ”I have a friend who was interested in a young lady as a wife but he was an auto mechanic” implying that he would not have sufficient status for the woman’s parents.
It sorta hints that the main male character that worked as a photographer who took pictures of people near the port of Mumbai for sale was a very low stature even though the parents of the lead female in the move whom have never met the “suitor” whose family has a maid and is well healed, would never accept the photographer for their daughter in marriage.
Overall, the movie was quite disjointed. Many scenes do not logical follow previous scenes. There is virtually no evidence that there is any serious attraction between the main two characters especially by the female. She rarely smiles. The best performance by far is the woman that plays the grandmother of the main male character. She was a joy to watch and listen to what she says.
Finally, the translation is in a very bad part of the screen. Too many times one cannot read the translation because the words age blocked or the lighting on the words were too bright.
