Although not the most terrible film I've ever watched, I feel that this shouldn't have been franchised under the Halloween series. It feels as though the writers wanted to expand on the series character base to expand the possibilities of more stories/films. After the poorer than expected reception, I think they reintroduced Mike to bring back the cult following.
