Is this the Korean equivalent of the western soap operas? Season 3 is leading me to believe that. Ugh! The first 2 seasons I enjoyed. As much as the doctor and Dan,s voice have that monotone and the lawyer seemed tired of his wife’s indifference the story was unfolding realistically. One episode where Piyoung’s husband (the doctor) was apologizing and asking for forgiveness although almost the whole hour it was realistic. Based on the title I guess one should expect how the story unfolded. Before I forget I love the children and the grandparents of the lawyer. However the end of season 2 totally confused me and so I waited for season 3 to clear up that ending but…..low and behold SEASON 3 is really irritating. First I have to get used to the cast change. Piyong especially who I liked so far is being portrayed in a rather poor light. Linking with Dan’s brother with his cheap talk and promises like a teenage boy grates on my nerves and Piyoung a mature successful mom has fallen into his trap. Season 3 reminds me of Western soaps with their drawn out ridiculous dramas. I am yet to understand how AMI moved into the marital home and everyone involved thought that was fine.UGH! The reason for watching kdrama over western drama was to avoid all that kind of stuff. Not sure how much more I’m going to watch. Please wake up Piyongs character because she’s going to be hurt MORE than having the husbands affair and have the daughter caught in the middle. Getting upset now. I know it’s drama but……..sigh

I searched for this when I saw Park Shin-Hye starring. Did not expect it to be so sad. Good acting but too short and sad.

Loved it. Just don’t have the stomach for so much sword fighting but that’s just me. Really loved the comedic side , those townspeople had me cracking up a few times. As much as I am clueless in understanding the language the sound of it is beautiful and so expressive. The young lead actors did a good job in this period drama. Crown Prince must have had a hard time keeping up that expressionless face for the filming. Mucheng life and end was sad. Hurt me deeply.

Another great display of Hyun Bin acting skills. Good series for personality disorder majors. Last two episodes and that elusive psychiatrist were the most stressful for me. Unexpected twists and turns that made this really bingeworthy. Highly recommended. Excellent script and casting.

Highly recommend for clean real relationship across generations. Loved it, loved it, loved it. The discourse between the two women vieing for Vaness Wu’s heart was complex but surprisingly respectful. Not sure how much of that exists today. Real life highlighting various complex relationships. Realistic. For me Vanness Wu redeemed himself in this role after his role in “The Princess Weiyoung”caused me much stress especially in the final 3 episodes. I deliberately searched For another series where Vaness was in another lead role where his character would make him more human(lol). Good movie for character and behavior study. Their son was absolutely adorable and a superb actor. I need to learn mandarin so I don’t have to read the captions but it was worth it. This is my 4th Asian series and I absolutely love them. This one has absolutely won me over. Highly recommended. Two episode with the abuse was troubling but as I said realistic, highlighting many social issues.

I really loved this series. All the characters were great but Changle started to grate on my nerves by episode 5/6. I liked Changru until she teamed up with Changle and really wanted to slap them both. I loved the Tang Ju’s heart, though a warrior he was compassionate. Last 5 episodes were pretty stressful for me and got pretty tears eyed. Just wished there was a happier ending for Weiyong and Ju. After so many episodes I now miss them. The hardest part for me was reading the captions and not getting to enjoy more of the costuming, scenery and faces. Trying to find other movies with the main characters.
