Okay, so, I might not have watched many horror movies in my time, but this is one of the worst movies, horror or not, that I've ever seen. The plot is pretty boring, not leading us to do something that I think any great movie should do: make assumptions about the backstory. Rather than making at least 3 of the main characters (the cameraman, bald firefighter and woman who is being followed by the cameraman, most likely) have some sort of unique backstory as to why they're here, they're just basic reasons, the man became a firefighter because he needed a job, and the woman and cameraman are filming for a series for a local TV station. Another critique would be that we are introduced to the first emergency in an unbelievably generic way: crazy person bites someone. The ending is probably the worst part, the last survivor just gets dragged offscreen by a zombie they didnt know about. I could go on all day about this movie but I think I'll just go on and summarize it below.
My summary/TLDR
An aggressively generic zombie movie, this tries so hard to be like every other zombie movie.
Final rating - 3/10, I like the first person aspect of it, the idea of being the camera rather than the cameraman is at least kinda unique, you see all the times the camera turns off, bugs out, and even rewinds at one point. Also it had a couple of quotable moments, but definitely not a must see.
