I received this book for Christmas. I am steadily working my way through all 80 recipes... often bringing in samples to share with my co-workers (half of which have since gotten her book for themselves).
I have yet to hit on a recipe that doesn't make me whisper heartfelt thanks to Katie.
I make a point of offering food samples to anyone and everyone who rolls their eyes or makes a disparaging comment about my vegan diet. I politely offer them one of Katie's treats, wait for the accolades and then smile and tell them "THIS is what a vegan eats"... then while their mouths are still crammed with cookie deliciousness I wave my finger in their face and say "that's right... that's what healthy tastes like."
