Spoiler alerts!
This is an illogical, over-acted, mostly predictive movie. It cheated me out of some time I could have spent doing something else.
The movie was a cheat right from the beginning, when a view that was supposedly of the local geography 100 miles north of San Francisco was clearly of the Boulder, Colorado area, with its famed Flatiron formation visible in the distance.
Some of the silliness: The bad guy kills the heroine's parents, whose decomposing bodies are found some days later. Meanwhile, the days's-long dead body of her murdered husband appears perfectly preserved in the trunk of a car.
The detective who finds the bodies of the parents and suspects the heroine is a kidnap victim - or worse - drives alone to the estate where he thinks the heroine might be found. Does he call for backup? No. Once at the estate, he’s attacked by the kidnapper/murderer.
And so on.
