Production-wise, this was horrible; the plot lacks depth, the dialogue makes it seem like the screenwriters have never interacted with another human being before, the characters are unlikable because of the stereotypical cliques they’ve been entitled to, and I hate the whole teachers vs students thing going on (it’s extremely unrealistic and makes the new gossip girl seem obnoxious). On the plus side, hearing gossip girl’s voice (Kristen Bell) made me feel extremely nostalgic… but it’s not something I’d stick around for if I can just easily rewatch the original Gossip Girl.
