A timely reminder that freedom is something that has to earned on a daily basis. If you’re not doing it for yourself, then someone else is doing it for you.
This epic shows the epic struggle forced upon not so distant previous generations. Family memories include uncles shot down in the Battle of Britain, in the Mediterranean, escaping from Italian POW camp and hiding with Partisans in the mountains to clearing out tunnels and rebuilding bridges as theAXIS forces were forced back.
My generation did duty in Angola against the Soviet backed Cubans et al.
The next generation will have their own struggles, and it won’t be climate change and the like.
Freedom will have its price.
