Emmie, the main character is a delightful young lady who developed a passion for sewing as she helped her mother who was a part time seamstress. All of the cutting and measuring surely paid off...Math skills!! Soon, she began to develop her own style for creating and designing. Way to go Emmie!! What I love about her is in the midst of helping her mother, she found time to tutor her brother in math, and even design something fun for her friends.
